As noted in a previous post, I sometimes listen to books as I am driving or when sitting around wait for chemo treatments to finish up. I am just about to finish listening to one more which I find fascinating.

The book is entitled “The Tangled Tree” and you can see the specifics below. It is very well written and well performed if listening to it. It is available on Amazon and I am certain at other brick and mortar as well as online retailers.

This is a story about micro-biology, and by that, I mean about the science of microbiology. There is nothing intimidating about the way the book presents the subject either. It is not just a story about the science, but also about the scientists themselves, and how they interact with each other and the often academic and commercial environments they work in.

Of note, this book tells about how we go about learning as a species. While it celebrates how much we have learned, it also implies how much there is we have yet to discover.

If you get a chance, read or listen to this one!

Fascinating!
